ProtectSeniors.Org’s 2013 National District Office Visit Week
April 29 – May 3, 2013
It’s that time again — time for retirees to make some noise! But this year, instead of retirees going to Washington, you’re going to visit your Representative and Senators in their District Offices. You don’t need to travel to Washington, DC to have an impact and everyone can participate no matter where you are in the U.S.
Here are the details:
- Meetings will be conducted in a local District Office of your Member of Congress, based on your state/zip code. Meeting location will depend on each representative’s availability and schedule.
- Staff members of ProtectSeniors.Org will arrange constituent meetings for each registrant with his/her Representative and/or Senators, depending on availability. Note that you may be attending a meeting with a group of other ProtectSeniors.Org members who are from the same state or Congressional District. Also note that it is possible you may be meeting with a member of your Representative or Senators’ staff if he/she is not available.
- ProtectSeniors.Org will provide attendees with meeting materials including talking points, and leave-behind issue summaries by email (if available) for each visit. Attendees should be familiar with these materials and be willing and able to discuss their personal experiences during the meeting.
- A pre-event conference call will be held prior to the District Visit Week. The purpose of this call will be to answer any questions attendees may have and to prepare all attendees for what they might expect during their District Office Visit. The date/time of this call is to be determined and will be sent to attendees after their registration is received.
Sound interesting? Register today! By registering, ProtectSeniors.Org’s staff will be able to schedule meetings on your behalf and track how many ProtectSeniors.Org members are participating across the country. Be a part of this national event!
